Yesterday, via Facebook I spotted this article. I subscribe to The Huffington Post because, frankly, they are the best place to find great articles on the internet. Yet, I don’t read the articles very often because, well, I get a bit distracted when I’m on-line.
This one caught my attention and I’m glad I read it. Not only is it an article about combating hate but also an article about how much our children can teach us about how we can help combat it.
It’s sad that in this day and age people not only still feel hatred towards groups of people but that they still would act out and display that hate. Do they realize the extent of their crimes? They should be ashamed of themselves.
And yet, through the eyes of this child and children like him, we can see that there is hope for a better tomorrow. We will not stand silent. We will do something to fight against this. And most important of all, no matter how small we think we are, we can make a difference.
