I think I also heard this on the trailer for Iron Lady (the movie comes out in April on DVD)…. Margaret Thatcher may have also said this!

The Muppets Never Cease To Inspire Me

I saw this on a billboard tonight and looked it up as soon as I got home (I’m a sucker for Kermit). Anything Muppet related grabs my attention (I was so excited to see the Muppet Movie this year with my best friend and we had such a great time watching it)! The “live your dreams” mantra always inspires me to do just that. I could always use a reminder.

Turns out it’s advertising an inspirational website called values.com. Here’s an advertisement dedicated to a place to find inspiration and also a place to record personal stories of inspiration and read ones of other people. What a great concept and what an awesome ad. It’s not an ad for what we don’t have or what we should want but for discovering who we are, what makes us tick, and how we can achieve it.  I LOVE it. Check it out!

Here’s a link to Muppet inspired nails (for the movie of course). I’m also a big fan of these:

So excited for The Hunger Games movie to come out. I haven’t read the book yet but I plan on reading it after the movie so that I’ll enjoy the movie more. Hopefully the movie will be good! Hopefully I’ll know by Friday (comes out on Thursday). Woot woot! Anyways, even though I haven’t read the book, I know a lot about it (thanks to friends…although not enough to spoil anything). In the meantime, while waiting for the movie to come out already (it’s all I hear about in the press moviewise lately), I really enjoyed this article and wanted to share.

Quote of the Day: On Reality

Don’t take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.
Don Miguel Ruiz

This is SO true!!! It’s very hard to do because  we often are re-active to society and forget ourselves and the big picture of life. Often the way people treat you has nothing to do with you and everything to do with them. To not take anything personally is extremely difficult but to remember to do it is also very important.

Sometimes the biggest fight we can win in our lives is the battle with ourselves. If we work on ourselves and reflect inwardly and ask ourselves what is really going on in any situation I think that we will be more successful in life.

Quote of the Day: On Life

“Life isn’t measured by the number of breaths we take. But by the moments that take our breath away.”

Life is not about quantity but quality. Go out and live your live, don’t just let life happen to you!

What an awesome read! If you are new to blogging, like me, advice is always appreciated. Here’s a good start! Happy Blogging!

The WordPress.com Blog

After moving from New York City to Chicago and getting married, Rachel Bertsche realized that her new life was missing one crucially important thing: a local best friend. So she decided to go on one friend date every week for a year, and she documented her quest on a WordPress.com blog at MWFseekingBFF.com.

But before Rachel even started the blog, the 27-year-old writer put together a book proposal based on her search for a local BFF, and successfully pitched it to agents, and then editors. She says, “After I sold the proposal, I decided to start a blog so that I could have a place to document my journey and some of the research I was finding. I also wanted to start building a community and to engage with readers.”

It’s now been over two years since Rachel first launched MWFseekingBFF.com. So did she accomplish her blogging goals?…

Integrity is doing what i…

Integrity is doing what is right when no one is looking.

Love these quotes on integrity. The word integrity is a hard one to explain. It means doing the right thing but it also means more than that. Doing the right thing is not always easy. The person who has integrity has strength and also faith. It’s such an important character trait and it can’t be emphasized enough in any society. A person with integrity is someone you can trust. Someone you know will not take advantage of you and whom you can trust. Find this person, he’s a keeper!

Furthermore, someone who acts with integrity will have far less worries because he won’t always be looking behind his back to see if someone might catch him doing something wrong. A life of integrity is a life of security and completeness!
